Mediation can be used to help resolve a dispute. A mediator is a neutral and impartial party whose job is to: facilitate the exchange of information; help the parties define the issue(s); find common grounds; empower the parties to brainstorm solutions; and assist the parties to negotiate an agreement that both parties can accept. A mediator will then memorialize the parties agreed to decisions in writing.
